Job Summary\n\nThe Electric Motor Technician is responsible for the inspection, repair, assembly, testing, and maintenance of electric motors and related industrial electrical and mechanical equipment. This position requires strong mechanical aptitude, the ability to read technical documentation, and hands-on experience using precision tools, machinery, and electrical testing equipment.\n\nEssential Duties and Responsibilities\n\n* Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, work orders, instructions, formulas, and process charts\n* Distinguish wire colors and component markings accurately\n* Lift, move, and position heavy objects and equipment safely\n* Understand and follow technical operating, service, and repair manuals\n* Maintain accurate production, maintenance, and work records\n* Test mechanical products, motors, electrical/electronic wiring, systems, and fixtures\n* Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies\n* Install and connect electric motors and equipment to power circuits\n* Diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and determine required service or repair\n* Repair or replace electrical wiring, circuits, fixtures, and motor components\n* Solder electrical and electronic connections and components\n* Inspect machinery and equipment to identify necessary adjustments or repairs\n* Maintain and repair industrial and related equipment, machinery, and work tools\n* Operate coil winding machines, lathes, and other shop equipment\n* Use standard and precision measuring devices during repair and assembly\n* Assemble and disassemble gear systems and manufactured products by hand\n* Use pneumatic tools, electric tools, and electronic testing equipment\n* Clean and maintain equipment and machinery using approved solvents and procedures\n* Lubricate machinery, equipment, and parts as required\n* Safely operate hoists, winches, and hydraulic booms\n\nJob Requirements\n\n* Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills\n* Valid **Class D driver’s license**\n* Ability to **pass a drug screening**\n* Ability to work independently and as part of a team\n* Commitment to safety, quality, and workmanship standards\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\n* Ability to stand, bend, and perform manual labor for extended periods\n* Ability to lift and move heavy objects as required by the position
