Responsible for account analysis, tax, financial and budget reports related to the\ncompanies. Adheres to company rules, standards, and Generally Accepted Accountant Principles \n(GAAP) as promulgated by FASB, SEC, and other regulatory standards.\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES & FUNCTIONS\nFOCUS % RESPONSIBILITIES/FUNCTIONS:\nAccounting:\n? Supports month-end financial reporting process by preparing pertinent journal entries, \nreviewing transactions prepared by other team members, balancing, and posting to \ngeneral ledger and subsidiary accounts and performing monthly reconciliations of \nbalance sheet and inter-company accounts.\n? Assists the Accounting Manager in the analysis of financial performance, including \nbudget to actual analysis and prepares, analyzes, and reviews financial reports to \nassess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural \nstandards.\n? Computes taxes, completes tax returns and other corporate compliance documents\n? Reconciles and evaluates complex commodity accounts receivable transactions to \nensure conformity with contracts.\n? Manages and maintains the fixed asset system and associated depreciation \nschedules\n? Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies/procedures to \nensure the safety of sensitive and confidential company information\n? Advises and trains other departments on company accounting standards and coding \nto ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions\n? Assists with internal and external audits\n? Provides research and analysis on technical accounting topics for the company. \nRecommends actions to ensure GAAP compliance.\nOther:\n? Administer accounting system support related to optimization, implementation, \nupgrades, and troubleshooting.\n? Coordinates the capture and evaluates the documentation of R&D tax credit data to \nensure it complies with IRS guidelines.\n? Maintains and adheres to company and departmental procedures and policies. \nJOB CRITERIA\nEDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS:\nBachelorâs degree in accounting or related field plus two years of experience; or equivalent \ncombination of education and direct work experience. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize time/workload to accomplish tasks and meet deadlines.\n? Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.\n?
