JOB DESCRIPTION:\n\n* Diagnose vehicle problems based on customer complaints and inspection.\n* Perform work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy and in accordance with dealership and factory standards.\n* Communicate with Parts Department to obtain needed parts.\n* Examine assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended.\n* Communicate with Service Advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time.\n* Road test vehicles when required or refer to the test technician.\n* Participate in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events.\n\nJOB REQUIREMENTS:\n\n* Minimum 3 years related experience and/or training; or combination of education and experience. Degree in diesel repair is a plus.\n* Previous experience repairing diesel vehicles in a dealership setting, including engine repair and electrical diagnostics.\n* Navistar and Cummins certifications desired.\n* Ability to stand up to 8 hours per day & lift up to 50 lbs without assistance.\n* CDL with passenger endorsement or ability to obtain upon hire.\n* Must pass pre-employment screens.
