Job Summary\n\nWe are a non-profit with a vision to put assistive technology in reach of every North Dakotan. To strive toward that vision, we need real-time, accurate, and transparent finances. The person who holds this position will help shape the future of our organization. \n\nMajor Responsibilities/Activities\n\n* Responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, reimbursement requests, and allocations – including billing the state, Medicaid, contracts, grants, and individuals.\n* Creates financial reports for the board (meets quarterly).\n* Coordinates purchasing activities and processing.\n* Coordinates with outside CPA firm regarding year-end audit and 990 preparations.\n* Supports Executive Director in developing the annual budget.\n* Performs annual 1099 reporting process for vendors.\n* Works closely with Executive Director to provide timely and accurate financial information, playing an integral role in organizational decision making.\n\nAdditional Responsibilities/Activities:\n\n* Greet and serve clients as needed;\n* Be curious about assistive technology;\n* Actively participate in meetings;\n* Operate in a flexible work environment;\n* Perform general office and operational duties if needed;\n* Support a positive work culture;\n* Always be on the lookout for those who can utilize our services;\n* Share information about assistive technology, its benefits and how ND Assistive can help.\n\nWho we’re looking for:\n\n* People who like working with people;\n* Tech enthusiasts;\n* Life-long learners;\n* Excellent communicators.\n\nThis position requires: \n\n* Proficiency in commonly used office software (Google Drive, Microsoft Office including Excel spreadsheets) and accounting software (Quickbooks);\n* Ability and willingness to work from the office, home or other remote locations;\n* Cooperation and transparency.
