Duties will include but will not be limited to:\n\n* Discuss all potential projects with owner prior to preparing estimate.\n* Reading and understanding blueprints and specifications.\n* Applying for site plans and permits.\n* Prepare material and labor take offs.\n* Doing materials and labor take offs.\n* Acquiring pricing on materials and sub-contractors.\n* Approve all estimates with owner prior to presentation to client.\n* Working with owners and architects.\n* Project coordination with employees and subcontractors to ensure project is completed within budget and within the time frame.\n* Operate as a team with all estimators and project managers to ensure all projects are completed within budget.\n* Creating construction schedules.\n* Ordering material to coincide with construction schedule.\n* Working daily with the job superintendent.\n* Attending construction meetings.\n* Attending safety meetings.\n* Meeting with customers.\n* Dealing with employees.\n* Approval of submitted subcontractor and material billings.\n* Progress and final billings.\n* Doing actual cost to estimate comparisons.\n* Reading Blueprints and Specifications\n* Construction Experience\n* Either of the above two could be replaced by schooling equivalent.\n\n\n\nSoftware:\n\nWindows and Microsoft Suite particularly Excel and Outlook, an estimating program would be a plus.\n\n\nReading Blueprints and Specifications\nConstruction Experience\nEither of the above two could be replaced by schooling equivalent.
