The position contributes to the company’s overall strategic and operational success, collaborating directly with the leadership team in overseeing the HR for both companies, the Finance-Banking, Finance-Financials and FinanceTax & Payroll and various responsibilities in support of the Finance Division. Duties of the position include participating in day to day accounting operations, including general ledger, cash flow, A/P, A/R, inventory, payroll, fixed assets, and other responsibilities. The position requires an individual who can do both day-to-day accounting and finance work as well as oversee other team \nmembers.\n\nDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:\nGlobal\n1. Assist with design, maintenance, and operation of ERP system (Oracle NetSuite) as well as \nEDI connections with large customers.\n2. Assist with design, creation, and maintenance of Excel spreadsheets, including new-country \npricing analysis, tax, tariffs & accounting, KPI’s, budgets for all divisions of the company, and other \nkey spreadsheets.\n3. Develop and manage efficient processes for timely month and year-end reporting and close,\nquarterly statement preparation and reconciliation of asset and liability accounts.\n4. Leveraging report and search-building in NetSuite to either streamline or eliminate unnecessary \nexternal spreadsheets and to assist executive team in monitoring and decision making.\n5. Be able to adapt to a unique paperless system and work within a IT structure that is simple but \neffective. \n6. Ensure proper payroll processing, vacation/time off, workers compensation-, short- and longterm disability and health insurance and retirement program administration.\n7. Create and maintain accurate written policies & procedures for all aspects of the HR and \nFinance Division, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, primary inventory control \nfunctions and processes, HR compliance, tax & payroll compliance, purchasing and accounts \npayable safeguards.\n8. Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they \nare communicated and implemented within the team.\n9. Assist with inventory and supply chain management in coordination with sister companies. More \nspecifically, with respect to Unfinished Goods: pricing, sourcing, ordering & assembly of raw \nmaterials; with respect to Finished Goods: assist with package & label, process customer orders; \nwith respect to All Goods: forecasting, warehousing, transportation, and quality assurance/control.\n2. Monthly close functions including account reconciliations, COGS analysis, accruals, journal \nentries and financial statement analysis.\n3. Closely monitor inventory manufacturing transactions to maintain accurate product costs, \nproper revenue and COGS matching by period, and raw material/component balances across \nmultiple locations.\n4. Periodic review of inventory transactions to ensure accuracy and adherence to the \nProcedure Manual.\n5. Maintain Customer coop advertising accounting analysis sheet.\n6. Perform physical count of inventory and reconcile actual stock count to computer-generated \nreports.\n7. Track accrued and prepaid expenses.\n8. Ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner, to include accounts payable and \nbank deposits.\n9. Monitor cash flow and regularly review the general ledger distribution for any required\naccounting corrections.\n10. Ensure tax rates used for sales/use tax are current and proper amounts are collected and/or\naccrued and reported, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulation, to include GAAP\nstandards.\n11. May be required to assist with IT administration including setting up new computers \n(hardware and software), printers, scanners, and assisting other staff with IT issues.\n\nATTRIBUTES AND SKILLS:\n1.
