Job Description: \n\nThis will involve merchandising physical commodities including corn, DDGs and ethanol, executing futures/options trades to manage margins, analyzing local and global market conditions and building strong relationships with customers and suppliers. \n\nThe major duties of this job will involve connecting quickly with people in a warm, poised, and enthusiastic way. If you prefer working at a very fast pace with variable tasks, enjoy working cooperatively with and through people in order to complete tasks and meet organizational goals, please consider applying.\n\nJob Qualifications:\n\nBachelor’s degree in business, ag economics, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and direct work experience\nThree years of progressive experience in grain merchandising, grain purchasing, commodity risk management or similar applicable experience.\nThe preferred applicant will have experience in the following areas:\nPrior experience trading and managing risk in a grain processing setting\nPrior leadership experience including directing or scheduling work\nProven skills understanding and executing futures, options and other derivative trades to hedge margins and manage risk\nExperience managing inventory of high volume commodity production with limited on site storage\nAbility to quickly build strong relationships with a large number of customers and suppliers\nKnowledge of the ethanol industry and the local trade area for facilities\nExperience with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)\nExperience with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
