Service Technician Job Description\n\nJob Title: Installation and Service Technician\n\nPosition Purpose\n\nResponsible for installation, maintenance, and repair of fire suppression systems, camera systems and fire extinguisher maintenance. \n\nPrimary Duties and Responsibilities\n\n1. Install and service mining vehicle fire suppression systems.\n2. Perform preventive maintenance on camera systems and fire suppression systems.\n3. Install and service camera systems on mining vehicles.\n4. Recharge fire extinguishers. \n5. Communicate with operators and supervisors. \n6. Document daily findings of needed repairs and performed duties.\n7. Knowledge of or experience with hand and power tools. \n8. Maintain and secure work tools.\n9. Clean and maintain work area.\n10. Maintain safe working environment by complying with procedures and rules. \n11. Provide reliable and safe service to all customers.\n12. Carry out other assigned duties.\n\n\n\nRequirements\n\n1. Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. \n2. Maintain a valid driver’s license with a good driving record.\n3. Possess basic mechanical skills\n4. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds required.\n\nSkills and Qualifications\n\n1. Self-motived\n2. Must be physically, mentally, and emotionally fit\n3. Ability to prioritize tasks\n4. Able to work as a team or independently \n5. Possess good judgment\n6. On time and dependable\n7. Must be attentive to detail and accuracy\n8. Organized to keep tools and paperwork organized in the work environment\n\nPhysical Demands\n\nLifting, carrying, balancing, pushing, pulling, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, using hands at or above shoulders, seeing, talking and hearing\n\n\nWorking Conditions\n\n• Exposure to weather (extreme heat and cold)\n• Wet and/or humid\n• Noise \n• High, exposed places\n• Lifting materials up to 50 pounds consistently, with heavier weights occasionally \n\nDue to the normal for a fire suppression environment, employee will be required to use safety equipment to include but not limited to eye safety glasses, hearing protectors, steel toe work boots, safety harnesses and hardhats.\n\nBenefits\n\n• Paid vacation and holidays
